Technology based on POF and Pico Wi-Fi

The technique used by FIBERunlimited for the indoor network is based on polymer optical fibre (POF). This optical (LED) technology offers an infinitely powerful and reliable internet connection, via the network and via Wi-Fi. FIBERunlimited integrates Wi-Fi access points into traditional wall sockets in every room. These access points work on the basis of Pico Wi-Fi and are connected to a cloud-based platform. All connected devices can automatically be managed and configured remotely.

Working together in different areas

Wido van de Mast, VolkerWessels Telecom CEO: “An internet connection shouldn’t only work flawlessly up to the meter cupboard. With FIBERunlimited, we offer a solution for optimal connectivity within a home or office building, scalable and future-proof. This concept is very much in line with our ambition of total connectivity plus convenience and comfort for everyone. In the coming period, we will be collaborating in various areas and together will ensure that people’s internet connection is in immaculate working order even beyond the front door.”

Strengthening each other

Steven Bleker, FIBERunlimited CEO: “While VolkerWessels Telecom will provide the infrastructure up to the front door, we’ll provide a solid indoor network. For the fibre optic laying work, we will train VolkerWessels Telecom engineers and together we’ll develop a management environment where the integration of the product and other IoT devices takes centre stage. Our partnership is an opportunity to boost each other, and our customers and suppliers will benefit from this.”
